Greetings from the President

​

Dr. Alesia N. Haynes joined Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. in 2013.  She has served in various roles in UCO such as Vice President, Membership chairman, Ritual chairman, Recording secretary, and Ivy Leaf Reporter.  Her current role is President where she leads a chapter of educated women who are devoted to strengthening sisterhood and service.

 

The 2022-2026 administration unveiled the theme, Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood.  The focus is to build upon Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority’s rich legacy of service by galvanizing our sisterhood of more than 120,000 active members to lead on the front lines of change, education, and advocacy.

 

Our current regional administration is under the direction of Alabama native, Regional Director Dr. Tracy Morant-Adams. UCO is a proud member of the Sophisticated South Eastern Region which includes Alabama, Tennessee, and Mississippi--affectionately called the ATM.

 

As president of UCO until the close of 2024, Alesia wants to inspire members to embrace and strengthen our sisterhood and to be of service to others.  Life offers us the opportunity and responsibility to serve others and give back.  Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms (1 Peter 4:10).
